Extended Learning - national lottery

An omr (optical mark recognition) is used to detect whether an area has been marked or unmarked. It performs at a high speed. When putting omr in the context of the national lottery it is used to see which numbers have been marked or ticked by a player. I believe the national lottery would be likely to run without an omr as people xan be employed to do the job of the omr. However the omr is more effective as it scana through lottery tickets quicker and decreases the number of errors made; compared to a person checking all the tickets.
